The PG & Research Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, St. Joseph's College of Arts & Science (Autonomous), Cuddalore, organized an International Seminar on " The New Era of Cloud & Data Centers" on 04th August 2026 (Tuesday) from 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at the Library Extension Hall, Ground Floor. The seminar was blessed and presided over by Rev. Fr. Dr. M. Swaminathan, Secretary, in the presence of Dr. M. Arumai Selvam, Principal & Head, PG & Research Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

The seminar featured Mr. Johnson Praveen Kumar T, Key Account Manager, Parker Middle East, UAE, as the resource person. He delivered an informative and engaging session on the evolution of cloud computing and modern data centers, highlighting emerging trends in cloud infrastructure, virtualization, data storage, scalability, security, and the growing demand for cloud technologies across industries. He also shared valuable insights into global industry practices, career opportunities, and the future of cloud-enabled digital transformation.

The programme was felicitated by Dr. J. Jon Arockiaraj (Senior Vice-Principal), Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Alex (Dean of Studies), Rev. Fr. Dr. S. The seminar was coordinated by the Staff Secretaries, Mr. Anand Raj I and Mrs. C. Mary Shakkina, Assistant Professors, with the support of the faculty members and students of the department. I and ll M.Sc students of the Department of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence actively participated in the seminar and gained valuable knowledge on the latest advancements in cloud technologies, data center management, and industry expectations. The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, providing participants with practical insights into cloud computing technologies and their real-world applications.
