The Career Guidance and Placement Cell with the association of our MoU partners Deed Trust and NASSCOM organized students participation in the NASSCOM Masterclass Programme at Puducherry Technological University.
A total of 170 students from B.Sc. Artificial Intelligence, B.Sc. Computer Science, and BCA, along with three faculty members — Dr. S. Muthukumaran, Mr. J. Antony Daniel Rex, and Mr. P. Simon Vasantha Rooban, Assistant Professors from the PG and Research Department of Computer Science & AI — actively participated in the programme under the guidance and support of Rev. Fr. Dr. A. Alex, Dean of Studies and Placement Officer
The programme was jointly organized by the National Association of Software and Service Companies and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Puducherry Technological University on 27.02.2026 from 2.30 PM to 5.00 PM. It was specially designed for students aspiring to build careers in Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, and Cybersecurity.
Mr. Madhav Bissa from the NASSCOM AI Team served as the Chief Resource Person and delivered an insightful session on AI Trends and AI in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). He elaborated on the role of AI in requirement analysis, system design, testing, and deployment phases, giving students valuable exposure to real-time AI applications.
Ms. Ashwini Ratha from Batoi* presented a session on Cyber Security in the Age of AI, discussing modern cyber threats and emphasizing AI-driven security solutions, data protection, and ethical AI practices.
Mr. Sukrit Ghosh from the Data Security Council of India addressed Career Pathways in AI and Cyber Security, guiding students on emerging job roles, essential skills, certifications, and future opportunities in these domains.
The speakers motivated students to strengthen their technical competencies and analytical abilities. Each session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, enabling students to clarify their doubts and interact directly with industry experts. The seminar successfully bridged the gap between academic learning and industry expectations, encouraging innovative and research-oriented thinking in emerging technologies.
